Who is Run Squad for?

  • Busy runners who are balancing a busy life with big fall marathon goals in 2025. If you want structure, coaching support, and performance results — without 50-mile weeks or burnout — we’re for you. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a first-time marathoner or an experienced elite looking to podium: the program is built with tools that allow you to customize it to your timeline and level.

What races does this support?

  • Any fall races between October-December 2025. We’re helping athletes prepare for big events like Chicago, NYC, CIM, and Cape Town as well as other marathons around the world from Lisbon to the Twin Cities. We recommend joining a minimum of 9 weeks before your race to ensure you can make the most of the program. The earlier you join, the better.

Do I really need a $99 run plan?

  • We believe that your biggest goals deserve the best possible support. Run Squad combines a world-class training plan proven across several years and thousands of athletes with 1:1 coach support, nutrition counseling, 2+ hours per week of coached classes for strength and biking, targeted education, and the motivational benefits of an organized team — along with a TrainingPeaks Premium account and other benefits. It’s the most economical, hassle-free way to get everything you need to succeed.

What do I need to use the program?

  • In addition to a good pair of running shoes, we recommend having access to a bike. Ideally, you’ll have a way to ride indoors (bike+smart trainer, Peloton, etc) so you can take advantage of our coached bike sessions, but this isn’t required. Resistance bands and a kettlebell or set of dumbbells is ideal for strength. However, we can easily help you adapt the training to your available environment and equipment.

What happens after I sign up?

  • Within a few minutes, you’ll get your Trainingpeaks Premium account set up and training loaded in, along with access to our Purple Patch Hub app and video coaching platform. You’ll also have a one-on-one onboarding call with a coach to help you get set up and ensure all your questions are answered. The team will guide you every step of the way.
