How did you get your start in triathlon?

Started the sport in 2009 as a complete beginner after friends from work suggested I give it a go. I've always done sport growing up, mainly Netball and Athletics. In 2007, I moved to Sydney, Australia with my job, and tried to continue my athletics but never really found a group I settled with. Friends from work were taking part in a charity bike ride, so I bought a bike the week before (a hybrid road / cross bike) and joined them. It was really good fun and off the back of that they suggested I give triathlon a go. I found a local group in Sydney that offered a beginners course and signed up!
