The central payer in our functional strength programs. All cyclists, runners, triathletes and endurance enthusiasts should utilize one.
TRX Training
Functional strength is one of our pillars of performance, and the best tool we have found to help you in this area is the TRX suspension trainer. We reason we like it is the following:
- Great for all levels, all our pros use it throughout the season, but exactly the same tool is applicable to newbies to functional strength.
- Allows progression: Because of the range of exercises, you can always progress the exercises to allow a training strain.
- Portable: Let’s face it, you can do it anywhere, hence it is great for logistics and travel.
- Functional: No, really, the movements in TRX are functional movements that apply to the actions utilized in endurance sports. This is a key element to effective functional strength, versus simple strength training.
- Efficient: Being a single tool means that you can get a lot done with little time. This part of your endurance training should not dominate your training budget. 15 - 30 minutes a few times per week will yield great results.
